water on passenger side floor board

Hi guys, 1998 TDI here... just got back from a road trip to Seattle from Boise. Started to get a lot of water streaming into the passenger side floor on the drive home. Assume this is from a clogged a/c drain tube. Hasn't rained in weeks. Think my assumption is correct or is there another common cause? Fluid appeared to be water. It was clear and no smell. :confused:
