So Ive been racing my 2015 Golf in HSAX and Id like to replace the brake pads with something a bit more suitable as Im cooking the current ones. However, unlike most of these threads, I do NOT want to upgrade to a larger rotor. That would bump me up into a higher class which not what I want. The problem Ive run into is the incredible lack of aftermarket front brake pads listed for this car. In digging through parts.vw.com, they list the PN as 5QD-698-151 which is the same as what they list for the 2015 GTI w/o the performance package but that car also lists a larger rotor (312x25 vs 288x25). Are they really using the same pads in the front despite the larger rotor? If so, that gives me a few more options to work with..
