I have the dreaded esp light and failed ABS unit in an 03 Touran with high mileage. I can get a cheap replacement part with the same part number. But it has an extra 'H' on the end of the part number. I understand this to mean it is a modification.
Can anyone tell me if this will still work? I've read it has to be exact part or it needs to be reprogrammed. I'll be paying for labour to get it fitted so don't want to redo it again. I have the choice of a reconditioned part for about £225 or part from scrap with the extra H at the end of the part number for £68.
