Whine/Rusty Hinge Noise When Warm on Shutoff and small Throttle Inputss inputs

lundi 3 juillet 2017

I need some ideas as I am dealing with a irritating noise on a 2002 NB TDI 5 speed conversion that sounds like a musical note akin to the noise a rusty hinge makes when moved. The noise is only made when fully warm-never cold. When small throttle inputs are made you can hear the noise fr a second or two. On shut down he noise will last for 10 seconds or so. It is very audible ans can be herd 20 feet from the car.
The car is otherwise driving very nicely with no drivability or brake issues. Also no fault codes are present.
Due to spat of vacuum hose and EGR issues the vacuum hoses, the EGR valve, the N18, the N75 and the brake booster line have been replaced. These parts were replaced due to hard fault codes or noisy operation no due to parts being tossed at it. No leaks seem to be present and everything seems to be working correctly. The check valve has also been tested albeit when cold to be functioning normally.
The issue is whats next to troubleshoot. The brakes are working fine no soft pedal here. Is it possible that the brake booster could do this? I am also considering replacing the vacuum check valve since testing it hot may be more trouble than it is to just replace it. The vacuum pump is no leaking any oil an has no other signs of failure.
Other than that the power steering pump has been considered. The power steering fluid level is at the high end of normal no leaks. Normal to get a high pitched whine from a bad power steering pump like a low PS fluid level?
Any ideas here? Beyond changing the check valve? I am all ears and will clarify/add detail to any statement made.
