Fs:17" Anthicite Goals/Pirelli tires

samedi 1 juillet 2017

Set of anthicite goals, 17x7 with pirelli cintuarto tires. Tires have about 5000 miles left on them. One wheel has small rash spot on it. Would prefer local swap here in north Ga.

Last week before buyback! $100 swapped and they are yours!

Fs:LED Euro tail light set with fog

Set of Jetta LED tails with integrated rear fog. Work perfectly, I love these lights. I will throw in the trigger wire to make the fog work as well. My TDI is being bought back by VW. I will need your halogens so my car has tails when I turn it in, so would prefer local. But willing to ship if you ship yours.

$200 plus your lights.

Price drop, $100 plus your lights!

Thanks to some forum advice......looks like I'm adding a car......

Posted over in the wrong forum looking for advice, but the essential jist was "buy that.....now." So I made a deal today:

2005, GLS (I believe, it has the sunroof and heated seats) TDI obviously. 225k miles and upon initially looking at it was told it needed a turbo and that's it. Showed it to a friend who I thought might be interested, he passed, but I kept falling back to it because of it's condition.

Went back today and poured over it with a fine tooth comb. Interior is excellent for mileage/age, very little to complain about (scratches and scuffs on drivers arm rest, cracking on top of shifter boot, minor stuff). Exterior, the hood and front bumper could stand to be painted, but the rest of the car would buff out very nicely. Couple of minor dings, one chip on a door with a spot of rust that will touch up fine. Started it (yes, we made sure it had oil), and other than the smoke out the exhaust, it was great. Fired right up, no strange sounds (was specifically listening for the BEW cam to lifter slap), AC worked, and ZERO fault indicator lights on the dash. It LITERALLY needs a turbo. Nearly new Michelin tires with a 1916 date code even.

So.....picking it up cash in hand on the 12th of July due to vacation schedules for the lot/owner and ourselves. $2140 including sales tax out the door.

Plan is to VNT-17 Turbo first and foremost. For the extra $100 why freaking not do that? EGR and cooler delete and Malone Tune. My best friend is upgrading out of his MKIV Golf so I'm getting the shifter from his car. Will probably upgrade the headlights to a HID projector setup, update the stereo to something with bluetooth functionality, and may go so far as to have the hood and bumper painted. NONE of which I'll benefit from. I am sticking with my 12 SEL Passat TDI, this one is for my wife and kids to get around it, and we can get rid of the Chrysler Pacifica we've owned for the past 9 years, and are simply tires of getting 15/19 on fuel economy with.

FS: Buzzken 2.5" turbo back mkiv Jetta wagon exhaust

I have for sale a buzzken 2.5" turbo back exhaust system with a ho flow cat and resonator in place of the muffler. Sounds great without being loud. Ran it for 6 months before taking it off so I could sell the car. Looking for $600 shipped. Payed $820 in August

ALH head erroded away?

Has anyone ever seen this before? Slowly consuming coolant and pressure in degass ball pulled the head and found this....

Possible to get 3.0 initial payment right away, and still sell back in 2 years?

I chose the emissions fix for my gen 1 3.0l, to see what the documentation says that comes with the emissions fix.

In the final offer letter, there is an interesting paragraph (and also some possible contradiction). It says:

"ALTERNATE OFFER: You may change your selected remedy at any time before the modification is complete. If you decide to change your selected remedy, you will need to submit additional documentation to verify your eligibility. Once your eligibility is confirmed, you may schedule and appointment to return your vehicle and accept the buyback payment or Trade-In Credit."

At the top of the letter, however, it says, "The release only becomes effective and binding after you receive a benefit under the Class Action Agreement."

Do you think that I could schedule the car initially as an emissions fix, go get the first half of the restitution payment, and then drive the car for a year or two and switch to buyback after having received the first half of the restitution (even if they have already come up with an emissions fix by then)?

Relay click. Stuck on highway

So I refueled at a rest stop and my jeep isn't starting. Was driving fine when I turned it off and filled up. For any Canadians close to the mallorytown onroute off the 401 east bound, you know where I am.

I'm about 300km from home and about 150 from where I'm going.

When i turned the key to see thw Gp light prime and go out before cranking, the 180 relay was clicking for a couple seconds slowly, then the 109 relay started clicking significantly faster. GP light was blinking as fast as the relay was flashing. GP light is not doing its thinG so I figure there's a short somewhere in that electrical system.

I'm trying to find a loose ground wire or something that could be causing this but over the past hour I haven't found anything.

My ecu kept falling from its position so yesterday I zip tied it iN - didn't pinch wires. Worked fine for 300km and one start after that. I've moved it around unplugged etc and nothing.

After trying to start a dozen times, now the 180 doesn't click it just immediatly clicks the 109 relay when the key is turned to glow plug.

Any ideas would be appreciated! 416.570.1138 cell.

It's a 99 beetle motor on a stock ecu (80pin). No obd2 readers on me either.
