Hello,
So I have spent the better part of my day looking at new struts/shocks for my wagon and I am coming across some mixed information. I was planning to purchase the Bilstein TC shocks/struts on ID Parts since they say they will fit the wagon and offer a slightly stiffer ride (I have my 01 Jetta with coilovers and don't want to go that extreme, just want a little tighter ride in the wagon).

But all of the reading I have done, says the struts on the wagon are longer than the sedan. I found out the Bilstein strut part number for the above kit from ID Parts, is 19-029429.
According to Bilstein's website, 19-029429 is for the sedan. 19-068633 is the correct p/n for the wagon.

Now to my question, if I were to use the kit listed above and sedan springs, would it work properly? I have no plans to ever tow anything with the car. My other question is, will sedan springs work properly with wagon struts?
I want to slightly stiffen the suspension without lowing the car beyond 0.5", so I was maybe thinking about the 1.8t GLI springs.
I don't know if/when the struts/shocks were replaced since the ones currently on the car are OEM and the car has 330,000 miles. Which is why I thought I would replace the springs at the same time.
Thanks,
Tyler
