I've recently acquired a spare functioning ALH. It cost me very little and the primary reason for getting it was that turbo, IP, manifolds, ecu and all associated hardware came with the deal...
Background of the engine; came from an accidented wagon, written off due to airbag deployment and ran with no issues before being pulled, I trust this persons word on the condition. Its currently on a stand.
I consider myself moderately mechanically adept and I think I would enjoy refreshing this as a project but my question is this; besides doing a timing belt change, injector pump seal change and removal of the turbo for a vane cleaning, is there any other things that should be inspected and replaced?
