Why are these calipers such junk? At over hundred bucks a pop they crap out continually. While rotating the tires on the wife's Golf I find the right rear brake caliper with only 35K on it needs to be replaced.
Gone through all the typical BS with our 2 ALH's. From door modules to glow plug issues to glove box failures. All have been fixed & done with, end of story.
However these calipers have bummed me out, if they aren't leaking the E-brake is failing every 30-60 thousand miles! What really sucks is their is no discount if you buy them by the case. I get more miles out of the brake pads!!
I would buy a caliper for over $200 bucks if it would make it a 100 thousand miles.
