Wrong area?
I try not to post on the web page for some reason I stick to facebook..which I hate...regardless, Im looking for every ounce of help I can muster. I have been neglecting other life things trying to figure out whats going on with my only car as I can't have it breaking on me and it looks like Im damaging my turbo based on my limited understanding. even worse, many of the tests I want to perform with VCDS won't work as i keep getting an error that says "this function requires a licenced interface" which I believe I have! it is def real ross tech..any way
So, diagnosing limp mode. Need some help/opinion/advice understanding VCDS... Money IS limited so I can't just nilly willy replace **** like Id like to.Could a slipping clutch cause the readings to look this way? just the MAF? or is there a greater issue like actuator arm, wast gate, or n75? Xposted
I was up reading most of the night. Im probably going to replace the MAF with an auto zone lifetime warranty part this evening, but Im not hopeful its gonna fix the boosting issues im having. Both under and over boost. Kerma tune
I have EGR delete and race pipe so Ill probably delete n18 too. I really want to know about the following log. Based on my little reading it looks like I have a boost leak and a bad maf because the maf is almost always below the threshold of requested and the boost is all over the place? This log is from a 20 minute drive in stop and go. I was easy on the pedal for the most part, there were times when I got on it for testing purpose, but he idea was to simulate an everyday drive. Im fearing my turbo could be bad as well. but lets not jump to conclusions. However, this indicate3s ill need a turbo soon if I don't fix these issues! This is my only car and daily driving SIGH
First, I know my MAF is bad because yesterday when I unplug it LIMP mode goes away and I can rocket past 4k rpm. So, I cleaned it and plugged it back in. It is no longer in Limp mode but the following spread sheet shows that the maf is not functioning well, I think????
maybe its a vacuum leak causing the MAF's lower than normal readings...
For example, line 670 shows the requested boost and the actual boost to be close to the truth (the only line like this without being at or close to idle), AND the MAF reads at close to the requested. but then line 780 the maf is very close to the requested 850 and the boost is still way off. This leads me to believe that the issue is perhaps with the n75 or actuator arm rather than the maf.
