Replaced my driver door lock module and began reassembly. I used a new/current OE VW module I bought from ECS tuning.
With the new module installed onto the carrier (including the transfer of exterior & interior door latch parts) I plugged in ONLY the connector for the module itself. Mounted the carrier to the door, reinstall the cable release to the exterior door handle, reinstalled the key lock and the 2 bolts that hold the module to the door frame.
I tried testing the new replacement module, but no interior lights and the module will not lock/unlock with the key fob even though passenger and rear door function properly.
I did not connect the driver master switches for locks and windows, but I plan on connecting it for the next test.
If anybody has some ideas I'd love to hear from you.
