Slipping Southbound stage 2 endurance, now what?

jeudi 8 juin 2017

I installed a southbound stage 2 endurance clutch in my 2002 golf about 7 months ago. This is the third clutch I've used from them ( same clutch in 2 other cars) and I haven't had any problems until this install.

The clutch has about 10,000 miles on it now and there hasn't been any improvement. The engagement height and pedal pressure feel normal but I've detuned my car from 26 psi down to 20 so that it will hold. I noticed that the clutch would not slipped after its been heated up, I'm not sure if that helps diagnose anything. I also get some shuddering on engagement but I'm going to assume that I have worn engine mounts that might be causing it.

Had the flywheel re-surfaced from a reputable place I've always taken stuff to, cleaned the pressure plate and flywheel thoroughly with acetone before installing and I replaced the rear main seal again.

Since this is my only vehicle, I do not have the ability to tear my car down and send parts back to be inspected. What are your guys' thoughts and experiences with a situation like this?
