The time has come to put my beloved TDI up for sale.
Currently has 464xxxkms (photo shows 161140 as the LCD misbehaves) (290xxx miles)
The good (go-fast mods done by PO):
I've kept a log of my repairs that can be found here.
Also have extra filters for her since I won't be needing them anymore.
The car is currently in Comox as that's where I work (plated/insured Nova Scotia as I recently moved here).

The good (go-fast mods done by PO):
- Engine refreshed @ 390k (bearings, rings, seals, etc.) w/ full timing belt job by PO
- ARP Headstuds
- Custom intake manifold
- 3bar MAP
- Kerma OMI
- Malone Stage 5 w/ Dynamic Idle
- VNT 17/22
- .250 HFLO-x nozzles
- EGR Delete
- FMIC
- Buzzken full turboback exhaust with res & muffler
- Single mass VR6 clutch
- Jeffmod HID Projector headlights w/ fogs and euro switch (removed Relay 179 as DRL's were misbehaving)
- Fluidampr (upgraded harmonic balancer)
- OEM Westfalia tow hitch (with 12v light adapter)
- Frostheater
- Leather heated seats
- Golf City radio (with radio code!)
- Shocks/struts recently replaced all-around
- New vacuum pump and vacuum lines
- New alternator
- Front ball joints and tie rods recently replaced
- New battery
- Stud conversion with nuts (two sets, one for aftermarkte rims, and one for OEM rims)
- 17" Konigs w/ Contintenal Purecontact (~47k)
- Rotors and pads recently replaced
- Rust, rust and more rust. Having lived on the East Coast most her life (and being neglected by PO's...) she hasn't aged very well. Thus, the chances of getting her registered in BC are slim-to-none without some bodywork.
- ~2ft long crack in windshield on driver side, does not hinder vision.
- Brake booster is shot.
- No A/C (PO cut off power wires to compressor and it wasn't hot enough for me to worry about it)
- Lower boost pipe rubs on axle (connector going from turbo -> aluminum piping needs to be redone...backyard half-ass work is great)
- Lower boost pipe no longer stays connected to turbo (2-3 psi and she pops right off)
- Glow plug light is on -> brake switch (could possibly be connected to brake booster) is faulty and doesn't allow cruise control
- Shifting is mediocre at best (was retrofitted with 2nd gen MK4 shifting box, but needs adjustment/bushings)
- PO had it lowered previously and had it frame notched...the notch was done properly albeit my strong aversion to this kind of shenanigans...
I've kept a log of my repairs that can be found here.
