I have been trying to chase down this problem for a while. I have an 03 Golf TDI with a 5 speed with 210k on it. I have been burning about a quart of oil every 1k or so. I originally thought it was the turbo so I replaced it with no change. Compression test is fine, performance is fine, hockey puck on top of VC is fine. I guess I am a little stumped. The only thing I noticed and its been doing it since I bought it is it starts a little rough in the mornings. Weather its summer or winter doesn't matter. I get hesitation white smoke for about 30 seconds and then it's fine. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
