"help"car won't crank" new starter,battery cables and battery is good"???

Hello, I have a 03 golf tdi. just the other day the car wouldn't start like the battery was dead but it would not crank over with a jump or charge. so I replaced the positive battery cable bc it looked a little rough but it didn't fix it. then I tapped on the starter and it fired up then wouldn't do it again, so I replaced starter. still wouldn't start,so them I replaced the ground cable from the battery to the engine ground location. then boom I was back running for about 6 starts, and now it's right back to where I started it cranks the starter over for a second them does like battery is dead. "note" when I try to start it the doors look the horn beeps and the lights flash bc one of my my micro switched is bad.(will a micro switch cause it not to start?)Also it's a 5spd is there a sensor or check valve for the clutch that could have went bad showing that the clutch isn't in and not letting the car start? thanks for the help in advanced
