Dumb question: Do I need to re-bleed brake lines, after exposing nipple to air?

lundi 12 juin 2017

When I was flushing my brake lines and clutch pedal line a couple weeks ago, one of my bleeder nipples was horribly seized on. I could only get it to budge with a socket wrench with longer handle, which meant that I watched some fluid dripple out after finally getting it loose, and then attached the silicon tube from my bleeder bottle.

Does this exposure introduce air into the system? My impression was that air needs to be "sucked in", i.e. from releasing the brake pedal with the bleeder nipple exposed.

My brakes have felt fine since then. Just slightly nervous about that.
