We're finishing up a 95 12v/47rh swap into a 96 f350 single cab, somewhere along the line we misplaced the trans kick down cable and had to buy a new one from the dealership. Since we installed the new one the trans would hold 2nd gear for a long time until it would finally shift into 3rd. When we disconnect the cable it runs through the gears quick but won't kick down if you hammer on it. We ended up cutting the stock cable and lengthening it very slightly and got it to shift good, however, the cable we used to lengthen it has broke within a few days. I would like to find an adjustable kick down cable without having to custom make one. Does anyone have a source for what I'm looking for or know of a way to adjust a stock one? Maybe there is something I'm overlooking. Thanks in advance!
