Hey guys I am new to this site and new to diesel drags. I hope this is the right place to post. I searched and had no luck on this issue. I raced years in gassers but trying to grasp the diesel life! My question is this: On my street/strip cars I always ran anywhere from 4.11 - 4.88 gears in the rear. Even a low horsepower car was a beast 0-90mph. Does diesel work the same way. I have an 05' 6.0 and recently put 35's on it. That dropped my stock 3.73s down to about 3.37s. I was thinking of swapping out 4.56s which would equate to 4.10s with the 35" tires so it would pull like he*& through the 1/8th mile. Has anyone done this? I dont do much highway driving, mostly city. Its an $1,700 decision so I would love to know if anyone has done it before I pull the trigger this week. PLEASE RESPOND!
