New to comp d

I'm new to comp d here. I have an 01 dodge that I'm working on making a full blowing puller out of it an id like some tips and suggestions an which direction I should go to build a powerful motor. I want to learn more about the fine tuning an details of building power there's much more info indeed to learn to know exactly what will an will not work I wanna do a pump swap this winter but not sure if I should pull motor out of truck an do work to bottom end or just leave until a later date.
