The same old issues everyone looks for answers on.
And usually end up selling there trucks
But I'm not giving up.
The power is there no question,
just can't make a clean run or get the power to the ground when it's half ass clean...
03 cclb ford leaf spring front end.
Hopping issues while leaving the line. Front end mostly.
Seems to be softened up and almost cured, the last few pulls it has seemed to plant the front more after i placed Dual QA1 90/10 shocks up front and lengthened my front bump stops. I do have traction bars up front coming from the front of the truck going back to the axle also.
No clamps on leafs running two leafs at about 20-28 front psi depending on track.
Issue is I will still get a hop on a power track here and there just looking for the Magic trick to these chassis I guess..
Now on to the rear, keep wanting to go to a draw bar hitch, to see if I can plant this ass end more, it's a completely solid rear end but watching videos sometimes the bounce starts in the rear, and the culprit I feel is flex behind the rear axle, which I have bar coming from the axle up to the rear of the truck. But you can still see the hop and flex. 37-38 rear psi
Plating is a option but not wanting to because of weight, thinking of some sort of bar setup and pulling from above the axle actually a lil behind the too of the axle as in towards the rear of the truck would really eliminate this issue.
Sometimes it's in the front,
Sometimes it starts in the rear.
I'm really to the point of a dodge front axle 4 link system and a draw bar style hitch with some extra bracing on the frame behind the axle.
If anyone could share some info related to these fords I would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance. -Clinton
