Pretty sure it's time for a rebuild on the p7100. Noticed it a few times very sporadic last summer, more over this winter while plowing. Throttle gets hung up with a stiff pedal when it warms up. Pulled in the driveway today with it idling at 1200 and threw some snow all over the pump, idle dropped to normal after about 30 seconds and pedal went to normal.
So I'm in Mass, close to Rhode Island, I could live without the truck for a week or two so I'd like to get the pump I got rebuilt. It's a 180hp Cali pump, no fuel plate and 4k springs, that's it. Trucks mostly just a mule, don't need much more then stock for power. I'm still on original injectors and turbo (rebuilt) at 270k, if they wear out I'll upgrade a bit.
I'm more comfortable dealing with a shop personally, but if there is a good reputation I could send it out or go with a reman. Or someone with a good used 215 pump or something.... Any suggestions?
