Ok, I have researched for the past 3 weeks and come to the conclusion that I need advice/help selecting injectors for my specific application. My truck just hit the shop due to my leaking head gasket getting to the unmanagable point. Might have other issues as I have a abnormal sound about 1750 rpms which sounds like a piston skirting or possibly a bad wrist pin. Been holding off as long as possible so I could accumulate goodies, but I can no longer hold off the rebuild.
I have stockpiled a
* colt stage 3 "big stick" cam and retainer
* colt tappets
* new cummins macanical lift pump
* pac brake remote oil filter
* ddp afc spring
* crazy carl tunnel ram intake
* arp head studs (standard, not 625+) Will be also porting and o ringing head
* adding the 4k springs to my pacbrake gov kit
* pac brake 60lb springs
* steed speed manifold from commonrail (also will be port matched to rectangular/ 12 vcalve style
* compounds using my he351cw, bd piping and I.I. s474
* case valve breather kit
* fleece coolant bypass kit
* and though I have not purchased them yet, was also thinking of picking up ddp's performance dv's
Now, I need injectors. First question is whos injectors, second is what size. I have the 215 pump, 5 speed. Daily driver and tow rig. Never tractor pull. south bend 3250 5k kit already installed. I've been toying with ddp stage 2 or 3, but do I really need to spend $850-$950 for injectors that I will never compete with?? read good things about SDX's, but can't for the life of me find a website and I've read many posts of peeps waiting 2 to 3 months waiting for thier injectors. I cant wait that long with my truck sitting in a performance shop. I heard DAP's were good, but for half the price of ddp's, I'm skeptical. any opinions out there???
