Unfortunately some of my air filter went threw my turbo. It was a hard rubber piece and just buggered up the comp wheel and housing. It has been rebuilt, It was a 35/40, 60mm 6 blade, now its a 60mm 7 blade.

What it the best way to clean out the intercooler?

I have used a gas backpack leaf blower to blow it out backwards but only got out some of the rubber pieces. The wheel shards are still MIA.

First time on this site. Involved with a few other forums, but thought I'd get some opinions from yall.

Truck details are in my sig.

Tranny as of now is a billet single, vb , and some other billet parts. Truck is strictly a street truck. It will be running slicks pretty shortly. Don't tow with it.

Truck is a 2wd, so I have some questions on what else needs to be done. I found a shop out of California that I want to use for my hardened shafts.

1. I'm getting input and inter shafts. The company HAS made a output before for a 2wd, but they are very pricey. More of a custom job. 1500 bucks or so. There really one of the only I have come across making SOMETHING for output on a 2wd. I'm really thinking of leaving this stock, as its a nice breaking point that generally doesnt do much damage. Also it would be nice to save that much money.

2. I have done quite a few pulls with it so far, and I havn't blown through the single billet yet. My tranny builder swears up and down that hes had them on 650 hp trucks before with no issues. Is he full of it?

3. I ordered a PMW Platinum flex plate. Seems to have a good reputation for the price. Good choice?

4. When I had the tranny pulled the last time, the builder said everything else looked good. As I'm now doing it a second time, should I just bite the bullet and get a rebuild kit? 150k on it already. Don't know its past below 130k. I am getting energy bands with this build.

5. Anything else I should be weary about? Any tips/recommendations?

Well guys I have slowly been adding parts to my truck, im finally almost ready to run her for the first time. Kind of curious what I should expect for times. I've been kicking around this idea for a couple of years. I run NTPA pro stock along with the local 2.6 class. Instead of buying two chargers why not just buy a spare 3.0 cover and swap in 15 minutes or less.

HX-60 with a 2.6 cut wheel.

Has anybody ever swapped a 3.0 cover and ran with a cut 2.6 wheel?

Wondering if I could get a price quote for my 04 2500 dodge.

I've been thinking of this for awhile now but want to hear what others thought first. I've been wanting to get rid of all the unused wiring from the egr and oem turbo and such. Not by just cutting the wires or something shotty but chasing the wire and removing it from the harness all together. Never gonna put the original stuff back on either.

Good or bad idea. Anyone know if the dash will start throwing cel's everywhere knowing it's all gone? Even thought of hunting down a spare harness to try it on first. I'm assuming there's guys running 6.7's in pullers and race trucks that have tried it. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

I bought these new a long time ago. I have probably paged though it for repairs maybe a dozen times. Overall it's in really good condition with a few pages with a little dirty from use. The cover is a little dirty mostly from storage on the shelf in my garage for years.

Hey all, new to this forum would like some input. I bought some 5x14 injectors (140 hp I believe?) and also a borg warner 62/65/14 to go with it. I received the injectors really fast then found out I have to wait a week for the turbo. well in the end I couldn't wait more then 2 days so I told myself I will just put the injectors in now and go easy on it till I get the turbo. so far ive been good with it there was one time i got on it just to feel the difference (and there was). so with that being said will the 62 give me more hp or just cool it down more? thanks all!

any of you guys running 12v's out of medium duty trucks run across a mechanical tach drive on a 6bt..have found several threads on different forums about them and have several part numbers for them..kind of curious if anyone has actually seen one..

Looking for experienced builder advice. Tore down the overdrive section on my 2wd 1995 47rh. The brake clutches and steels were stubborn to get out. The double sided clutches only have material on one side, except for the first one. On further inspection the aluminum case has wear marks/ridges where the steels have dug in.

So should i just polish the aluminum with my finger and emery cloth? Or does it need a magical 9 inch hone to perfection? Or a new case? marks/ridges are roughly .015 deep.

Seller of truck told me it needed rebuilt. I put 4 or 5 quarts in and everything worked for ten miles. Then no overdrive or lock up on the next drive. I expected to find a broken overdrive lip seal, which was chipped off in two places.

Part 2: Not important but still curious, how much does Dpc or someone similar charge to cut open a converter? Truck has a CR70x from Transtar or Recon. It has an upgraded front cover, "billet" wannabe.

Ok, all of you turbo gurus I am here to ask a few questions, mainly to understand breakage on over speeding, wheel breakage due to fatigue and whatever else. Stock wheels verse aftermarkets who handles fatigue better? I have been told in some apps stock will outlast aftermarket. Big or small designs.

How the breaks look at the separation point, stress risers and anything to really see why the overspeeding or other damage causes occur.

Hooked the race truck up and took the wife,kids and killer to the track stopped about 945 pm to eat at longhorns in McDonough with phill Taylor his family and friends before we checked into a hotel. I left killer in the truck so I came out to check on him after about 20 mins and all was good. When we finished we went outside to find no truck,trailer,race truck or killer. The worst part was trying to keep the kids and explain everything would be ok and no harm would come to killer. Thank goodness Everyone was there to help so we could deal the police.

I know the full spline shaft is ideal, but I got a ton of money going out right now, so what is the preferred fix while using the stock shaft? Or wait till it comes off if ever and fix then?

We have an F550 dump truck at work and it only gets used around town, so when it goes into regen, I try to mob it down the freeway to get it to complete the cycle. But what do you do when it's not possible? Is it cool to just shut it down? It always seems to do it at the most inopportune time. I think it hates me. Any way to do a parked regen?

It has already gone thru one dpf that cracked under warranty and a plugged egr. Under 20,000 miles.

Xrt with dpf unlock. Truck was sold and tuner was removed. Priced to move, would like $1000.

As title states, trying to sell my 2004 Ram. It is a Laramie roller with leather and full power interior. Roller is complete minus ac lines. I say roller because I had grand plans to make this truck a dedicated puller but have since lost interest.

It does come with its original 140k mile engine but needs to be reassembled with rings, bearings, and gaskets. It was a perfect running motor when removed, again had huge plans. It is missing an injection pump, injectors, and clutch but everything else to make it go is present. It has a full set of factory match isspro's (boost, egt, rail, and supply psi). Cab is clean and also has 140k. Has SSR tuning and has UDC key with it. Transfer case was rebuilt as well as trans(NV5600).

I owe $10k and that's all I want. I will throw in a set of rebuilt twins and a steedspeed second gen manifold for another $3500.

My first truck was the Green goblin. its a 1999 dodge ram 2500 quad cab long bed 4wd. Ive had it since 07 and have tons of great memories in the truck it currently has a 12 valve in it. no injectors no turbo, no injection pump, popped head gasket. basically been a parts truck for other projects for the past three years. and the truck has some rust on it.

I currently have a 2000 2500 2wd with edge JWA, 240 horse injectors, 63/75 twins and a colt cams big stick. 5 speed trans with a valair dual disk. body is pretty rough.

here is what i need help with. should i leave the 2000 together and continue driving it. not really being able to do anything at all with it. and leave the green goblin sitting till i can afford to rebuild everything down the road.

or

pull the everything out of the red truck and put it in the green truck converting it back to a 24v vp truck that is lowered, with the twins, and 4wd so i can make a few races, and maybe a couple local brush pulls?

I just got my truck back together and it will not charge and the tach doesn't work. I don't know much about these electronics but I hear that the CRANK POSITION SENSOR feeds the PCM and it turns on some of the electrical functions, one of which is the ALTERNATOR. And I would also guess that the RPM measurement is taken at the CPS ? I figure the gap on my CPS is not set right. Does this sound right? If so what is CPS gap supposed to be set at? Also what other functions does the CPS govern?

Bought a built tranny and no longer need this. It came out of a 97 4x4. Not sure what went but it slips in all gears. Comes with torque convter and is all stock as far as I know. $150 picked up only located in Green Bay, Wi.

Are the engine mounting points on a common rail block the same as a 12v?

Basically, how hard would it be to put a 6.7 block in a 2nd gen and the same for a 12v in a third gen?

Thus far the truck has an H&S Mini Max, DPF delete and I unplugged the EGR non-sense however the EGR system still remains in-place. No other power-adders. The DPF deletes have been on the truck for about 20,000mi. The truck has never shown signs a head gasket problem(s) i.e.: gurgling sounds, oil in coolant, coolant in oil, visible leaks around the head, etc. When the truck starts making boost an obvious “exhaust leak” sounds begins. I have checked all the manifold ports, intercooler, intercooler boots, clamps and about everywhere under the hood in search of an obvious culprit; efforts have yielded nothing. I even pulled the sensor on the intake horn to see if there was any accumulated soot on it; it was still spotless… Does anyone have suggestions or similar issues? Since the EGR system is still mounted, could this cause strange noise(s)? Thank you.

I'm modifying the top of a fuel tank. I had to cut out a hump to make it fit correctly. I have it cut, and cleaned up, and made a patch that fits great. I'm going to most like rivet it, but need to know what the best sealant/gasket maker would be.

La situation :

- une base "dictionnaire" avec des tables de référence

- x bases (une par instance d'une application web) pour lesquelles je veux que certaines infos soient synchrones (notamment les utilisateurs)

pour l'exemple de la table md.personne, dans le cas d'un fonctionnement "autonome", lors de l'ajout d'une personne (=utilisateur), il y a déclenchement d'un trigger (qui va entre autre créer une vue suffixée par id_personne... mais c'est un détail qui n'est pas important ici).

le but :

lorsque j'ajoute une personne dans une base courante, que cet ajout soit répercuté dans toutes les autres bases courantes avec le déclenchement des triggers associés.

l'essai :

utilisation de postgre_fdw, lien opérationnel, aucun trigger ou règles sur ajout, modif, suppression sur cette table distante...

OK, I am baffled here, I have seen several p pump kits for sale that offer the spacer for the intake horn so you can use it on top of your grid heater, and then I have seen several intake spacers that delete the grid heater and are taller for a p pump conversion, but I can't seem to find just the spacer to go on top my grid heater for sale w/o having to purchase either an entire kit or a set of lines. If I didn't plan on using my grid heater it wouldn't be an issue but I do use the grid heater in the winter. Anyone have any idea where I can buy just the spacer?? or a company that I can look into that makes them for the kits I have seen available?

Just like it sais. My shift stub on my trans will spin and when it's in gear they are loose, like 7 inches of play. Is the stub worn out? Something on the shift rails? Trans is newer from reputable builder, twist style shifter collar pre 98.

Driving down the freeway today, I reset my overhead mileage thing and about 5 minutes later I looked up and the display read ccd. I pulled up the trouble codes on my Edge monitor and it had a code (P2503 I believe) that said charging system output low and also a companion code. On my monitor it said 14 volts, so I cleared the codes. On the return trip it did the same thing. What's the deal? 14 volts should be plenty shouldn't it?

So does anyone know the time or any info on this?

I have a 95 12valve recently put a good working 180 put on it I installed 191 dvs, grinder the plate to a #10, and cds 5k gsk kit, timing was advanced to 13°, got it running it idled way up by itself on 5 clicks I back of 1 click till it was idling at 800 (at 2 clicks) but when I turn a/c off it idles up to around 11-1200 only when a/c is off I've tried everything to my knowledge any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Ok so it's the truck in the sig. The 98. I keep getting a p0622 code. Generator field not switching properly. I just had trans work done. And also new reman PCM/ECM. What would cause this. Never had this code until I pulled and trans wouldn't shift. But you can clear code and trucks fine. Then it. Comes back.

I am doing a rebuild and my original band was a red high energy friction billet band from suncoast and after two years of drag racing, sled pulling, and towing I have decided to do a compete rebuild. The band to my surprise was in decent condition so I called up suncoast and ordered another one because the band did so well, but when I recieved the new band i saw that it has a new dark grey soft material rather then a hard red material inside.? I called them up and they said this is there new better band but they couldn't tell me what material it was, anyone know? Is this band going to be as good? Or should I order a red eagle band? Truck will be more performance based rather then towing a daily driving.

I was told by an industry rep yesterday that most turbo manufacturers have a finite number of recommended torques that their turbine shafts are to undergo during assembly. He mentioned deformation of the pilot diameter as the cause.

What do each of the manufacturers we commonly use (Holset, Garrett, Borg, others?) recommend? Does this change with frame/ model? I imagine a larger shaft diameter would have a longer service life in regards to the topic.

Guys I am looking for some advice on a turbo selection. I build a very mild truck last year to run in our local 2.6 class. This year I am taking it to the next step to be a little more competitive. From my last years experience I seemed to run a lot more fairs that had a workstock class and a open class then a 2.6 rule....why would I build a 2.6 truck? So my question is what would be the best "Reasonable" turbo I can purchase to have a open cover on it and possibly purchase a 2.6 cover if I did want to pull a local series. I know I know...can have it all.

So got my stock manifold and turbo off tonight got the pdi to go on. Before hand I was give a larger t3 gasket was going to port match the exhaust housing and manifold thought and suggestions would be great how not to mess up the turbo how deep to go into it so on thanks for your suggestions.

My motors at the machine shop right now getting cleaned up from a seeping hg. I had them do a valve job and deck the head so far. He took 20 off the head, and Im assuming he'll have to take 10 or so off the block as well. My question is in terms of clearance, I can find a 20 over gasket, but where can I make up the other potential 10 or so? Is 10 slight enough that it wont cause contact? Should I get valve reliefs in the pistons, or 10 or 20 taken off the piston? Just looking for some guidance. Thanks

I'm building a new engine for my truck but the old one has been sitting with the head off still under the hood. I have it covered pretty well, but I'm reusing the cam and crank I'm worried they will have rust on them. Should I be worried about this? If there is rust on them can I just polish it off?

I have a Turbonetics Stage 1 Ball Bearing turbo. Has about 50K miles, polished compressor housing. I think this one actually has the edge housing...might be turbonetics, I forget. Its the T58 compressor, Q trim turbine, non WG. I currently have it on my 04.5 with a smarty. 90% of its life has been with the smarty on a lower setting (1-5 typically). It made a huge difference over the HE351 empty. My truck has 3.73's and 37's...and Ive recently started towing more and it is a little too laggy at the altitudes I am towing (7,000-9,000ft). It works good down around 4-5Kft though. Significantly more top end power than the 351 had.

It is a direct bolt in on a 3rd gen, no downpipe or anything needed. It will also fit a 2nd gen, but I don't have a 2nd gen downpipe for it.

Anyhow...I'd like to put a stocker back on it temporarily until I can decide what I want to do (twins likely).

I will trade it straight up for 2 HE351's that are in good shape (you ship yours, I ship mine).

Or...1 HE351 and 350$.

I'm looking at different options for my automatic 2010 daily driver and tow rig for my puller. I have had a bunch of parts sitting on my shop floor waiting to do a build but now I'm second guessing just a bit, mostly bc I'm tired of seeing the parts not put to good use. I have a fully ported head, 10mm stroker, girdle, studs, 150hp injectors, Hamilton 188/220, t4 steed, billet rods, and some cut pistons. So what do you guys think?

Option 1: Go with a single to keep the truck safer with the stock rods; not pull the motor; put on everything but the rods, pistons, and girdle; get the build going soon and have it back running in a day

Do you think a 72 would be too big for towing?

Option 2: Pull motor; use everything I already have; buy an extra injection pump to go with duals; build the set of twins I was wanting; try to find a good time to do the build; have my daily driver down for a while and buy some walking shoes

Please don't bother telling me how bad the 68rfe is or how much power they will hold. I know. I've already put money into mine so I'm planning on running it until it dies and then I already have the next step covered
