I was told by an industry rep yesterday that most turbo manufacturers have a finite number of recommended torques that their turbine shafts are to undergo during assembly. He mentioned deformation of the pilot diameter as the cause.
What do each of the manufacturers we commonly use (Holset, Garrett, Borg, others?) recommend? Does this change with frame/ model? I imagine a larger shaft diameter would have a longer service life in regards to the topic.
