12V Cummins El Camino Drag Car

vendredi 2 mai 2014

I had high hopes to finish this, but an injury put it on the backburner, and I moved on to a different diesel project. I am selling the car: El Camino, 14X33 tires, 9inch, ladder bar suspension. Still has the fuel cell, lines and pump. I already removed the ignition system. Firewall was moved back. Here are some videos of it when the prev owner had it:

The engine:1994 12V Cummins. I still have the title from the truck it came out of. IIRC, it has 190K on it. The truck was owned by a marble and granite company, and was used to deliver slabs to customers. They sold it because the forward clutch pack went bad and the trans needed a rebuild. Engine ran perfect when I pulled it. Still has the complete harness and everything I needed for the conversion. I even have all the A/C hardware. I did remove the injector pump, but still have it.

The Trans. 47RH, I bought all the goodies for. Hardened input, tons of upgrade parts from PATC, and a 5star converter. I bought everything to make this trans hold up to an 800HP Cummins. Assembly required.

The engine was only set in the car on jackstands and is currently out. I never made mounts for it. I still have the nose off the car. I may put it back on to sell it. I was going to race in the NHRDA events, but never finished. The hood that was on the car is damaged, and I have a steel bumper for it that needs paint. The body is clean, and it's been a drag car for almost its whole life. I do have a title for it so it can be registered. I'd prefer to sell everything as it sits. $6500 takes it. Just want my investment back.
