TFOD question

mardi 21 octobre 2014

We recently built a 12 valve with the following upgrades:

Balanced rotating assembly

Colt Cams Big Stick

4kgsk

60# valve springs

#5 fuel plate

TST AFC medium spring

4" down pipe to 5" exhaust

BHAF

Ported waste gate on the HX35

215 injectors

16.5* timing

We got a TFOD shift kit fir the 47re as well as a billet band strut, HD anchor, billet accumulator valve, and the BW solenoid.

In the instructions for the TFOD it has some options of springs depending on application. Some for a 12v and some for a 24v/gasser. The instructions refer to them as PT body (part throttle) and the other appears to be a governor but isn't labeled well. Since we changed the operating range and power band of the engine would we want to use the 24v/gasser springs? I want the trans to work with the engine like a matched pair.

The pickup is a '96 3500 4x4 with 4.10 gears and 33" tires. It won't tow often. It's also my wife's driver, so it won't get rallied too hard most of the time.
