I did some searching and found several pages of discussion involving the use of straight cut drive gears on a p-pump engine. However, no final answer was available.
I street drove a Hamilton 200/220 along with all the associated springs & such and it caused the cam to push so hard into the block, the cam thrust plate wore quite significantly.
I'm willing to try a set out for next years combo along with a larger roller cam.
What say ye???
