My question is multi-faceted.



Little background...47RE with a full-manual valve body in a classic truck, so no computer.



1. Looking at different ways wiring Over Drive and Lock Up. I will run a micro switch on the shifter so neither will engage unless it is in third gear and will disengage once the shifter is moved from the "D" position.



2. Wondering if wiring both to engage at the same time is an issue?

a. What is the normal delay between hitting OD and LU engaging in a factory truck? And would engaging both at the same time cause any issues?

b. What if they were run in series?



3. Or could I have it engage LU once it's shifted to third (via the switch on the shifter) then OD on a button. Would that be detrimental to transmission shafts? Which is part of why I will have the switch on the shifter...I don't want to break things by using LU in 2nd gear. LOL



I'm really just trying to find a way to run both off of a single button.

Le pb est que le compte et mot de passe pour l'interface (opmui/opmui) me retourne "Wrong Username or Password" alors que celui-ci semble correctement défini sur la DBD opm ainsi que dans le fichier opm.conf.

J'avoue que je ne sais pas ou regarder maintenant. Peut-être pourriez-vous m'aider ?

Je rencontre un problème d'installation de PGSQL 9.0.18 sur un CentOS 7 (64 bits), au niveau service. En effet, j'ai installé PGSQL depuis ces sources (http://ift.tt/1u0iXDK … 18.tar.bz2) sans problème.

Après avoir ajouté les bin au PATH, j'aimerai configurer PGSQL tel qu'il puisse se lancer via les commandes "systemctl start/stop/status postgresql.service".


J'ai essayé une méthode pour instaurer des init.d mais sans succès, ce qui serait logique vu que ca a été remplacé par systemctl.


Je me suis intéressé à PGSQL depuis peu et avant d'investiguer dans une version autres (9.3), j'aimerai comprendre ce principe de "création" de service et rendre mon PGSQL 9.0.18 configuré comme sur ma CentOS 6.4.

gutted afc?

I recently bought a p-pump. Took the afc housing off and noticed the arm slides on the shaft without any resistance. There is nothing more then the shaft it slides on in there and there was no fuel plate at all. Person I bought it from said it was being built for a pulling truck, I got it very cheap so I'm not surprised if its not complete but I was just wondering if this is what is meant when people talk about gutting the afc housing? Everything inside the pump looks normal otherwise. I plan on sending it to Seth for some tuning but if its missing parts I'd like to find them in a junk yard rather then buy brand new since every part in there is $1 million. Anyone have pics of what a gutted housing looks like??

Built 2006 Laramie Megacab

Putting my truck up for sale. It is a 2006 Dodge ram 2500 Laramie edition Megacab. Has every possibly option for 06. Dual stage heated leather seats, sunroof, navigation deck, rear entertainment, center console, steering wheel controls, etc. Has 118,000 miles currently, I have only put 12,000 miles on the truck since I purchased it three years ago. Up to that point it was a southern truck and is extremely clean as I store the truck for the winter. At approx. 50k miles it dropped a valve seat and had a new motor done under warranty. Runs and drives great, all front end parts only a few thousand miles.



Mod list:

-48re with Opie superphat shaft input with billet intermediate and output shafts also. 2200 stall converter triple disk converter, built by ultimate transmission out of Idaho. I did a refresh this past winter with new clutches, steels, converter refresh, and all new gaskets. approx. 4k miles on refresh so far.

-ARP 625s

-II dual fuelers with LBZ pump, factory pump on bottom

-Flux 4.7 injectors

-Hamilton street cam with hamilton HD pushrods and 103 pound springs.

-ED billet 2.6 charger 66/88 with a .91 a/r T4

-Stainless diesel manifold

-Grid heater delete and a spool aid.

-Beans sump to fass 150

-GDP ladder bars

-Driveshaft loops front and rear

-1480 U-Joint rear driveshaft

-Dipricol optix pyro, boost, drive press, and trans temp gauges factory matching gauges on a pod above rear view mirror (very clean look)

-Has EFI live tuning I did myself. Have mutliple tunes made and also have an Idaho rob race tune I could put in the truck. Don't have a csp, just used the V2 to change tunes.

-Dual progressive stage nitrous from nitrous express. Each stage approx 150hp. Bottle behind back seat with a bottle heater also. Only sprayed twice for dyno purposes by previous owner, and I sprayed it on one stage at a sled pull once last year.

-Steering box stabilizer, dyna trac billet ball joints, and a thuren fab trac bar for upgraded front end parts. Drag link is new and tie rod ends have plenty of life left.

-General grabber 35x12.50x20 tires that have 4,000 miles on them with MKW type 29 wheels.

-Night runner head lights with billet mesh grille. Also has a cowl induction hood.

-4" exhaust to 7" cat style black stack.





May be missing a few things but that is most of it. Don't drive the truck enough anymore and I would like to a truck I can drive through the seasons and not worry about it getting rusty. Like I said this truck is clean and I wanted it to stay that way so I stored it in the winter. Has dyno'd over 1000+hp on both stages with the external waste gate twice by the previous owner. I took the gate off because I don't spray it enough to make it useful and the gate plate welds cracked and ended up breaking upon removing it. (will include if anyone is interested) Streetability is very good on the truck and makes good power. Never dyno'd on fuel, if I had to geuss I would say the truck makes close to 800hp, maybe more. I have sled pulled the truck a few times and made 3 passes at an 1/8 mile strip. Motor makes absolutely no blowby. I also just installed a new head because of the old one cracking. Had a local machine shop do bronze guides, hardened valve seats, deck it, and install new hamilton valve springs. Body wise it has a few dings and dents, and I had a deer run into the bottom of the back driver door going down the highway. Other than that, body and paint is in good condition. Interior is in great shape. No tears in any of the seats, just a little wear on the drivers seat. Also has weathertech floor mats. I also have some extra parts to throw in, one of them being a cheetah scs shifter that was removed when I purchased it. I am currently not interested in trades, I do owe money on the truck but it is a very low amount away from pay off.

Pulling w/Automatic in street stock

I've been pulling street class for fun for a long time, but it was with V-10 F250. I've got my first diesel new back in 2010, its a 2011 F350 with an H&S deleted and 5" straight pipe out the back, it is my daily driver. It's DP Dyno'd at 501 HP / 1097 TQ.



I run 295/60/20 Nitto Terras and have let it shift in auto, but also select shift the auto. I barely get rolling and hit 2 and very quickly am in 3 and often 4th, then when I can tell it's powering down I shift down to 3 and let it go.



I see the manul guys start in 3, 4 or 5th gear so I'm wondering if any automatic pullers do a 3 or 4 launch and how does it compare?



My truck is SRW and my front tires always seem to spin at the end too. I'm looking at getting some 325 wide Terras or maybe even BFG's for the front at least. I'm trying not to make momma mad and buy a whole new set, since it's HER birthday this Monday not mine! LOL



I've got a pull this Saturday night though, usually this is a loose track.

Next Saturday night is DIDC IV, it's in the sled pulling events so I won't say anymore, but it's not real tight either.

- Base de donnée mutualisé postgreSQL 8.4 (sur un même serveur, je peux avoir X bases de données)

- Un serveur maître postgreSQL 8.4

- Un serveur esclave postgreSQL 8.4 (Warm standby)


Tout fonctionne bien, j'ai testé la bascule sous un environnement de production et je n'ai rien perdu.


Mon problème est le suivant, si je dois pour des raisons de maintenance arrêter mon serveur maître (augmentation de la ram, cpu, disque, maj système), je suis coincé.

Mes serveurs Web qui attaquent mon sgbd ne peuvent plus se connectés le temps de la maintenance.

Est-ce qu'il existe une autre type de réplication/configuration/architecture pour gérer ce type d'intervention ?


J'ai déjà lu qu'il n'était pas trop conseillé de faire du master/master synchrone car cela n'est pas géré en natif sur PostgreSQL.


La version 8.4 est utilisé pour des pré-requis des bases mais un changement vers la version 9 est envisageable.

Fuel filter keeps breaking

Hey guys,



So in the past 6 months I have had 4 fuel filters crack or blow the gasket out. 3 of them were Wix filters and 1 was a factory Mopar filter. Everything else on truck runs great, even when its spewing fuel everywhere, but I can not figure out why i keep losing filters. I thought it could be a sticky over flow valve causing excessive supply pressure so I put the TorkTek Adjustable OFV. I did this about 2 weeks ago and just got another broken filter today. I have searched for people with similar issues, but have not found any conclusive information on what is causing this. Has anybody had this issue or know how to fix it?

Holset compressor maps help

There is a book out there that has a bunch of Holset compressor maps. I don't want to buy the book just for the maps, but I can't find them anywhere else. I tried to enhance the picture as much as I could. Does anyone have this picture or map that can confirm what I'm seeing? It looks like the outlines for the map on the left goes as follows: HX50, HY55V, HX50 (?), HE541, and HX60.

pg_dump crash i/o

Bonjour,


j'ai un soucis devenu bien trop récurrent avec pg_dump.

Toutes les nuits je dump en utilisant un script qui boucle sur chaque schema, ce qui a pour résultat de me faire un dump de chaque schema, j'en ai 75.

mais aléatoirement je me retrouve avec un crash i/o je n'ai pas la moindre log que ce soit du coté de pg ou du system ( centos 5.5 x64 )

la conséquence c'est le crash bien évidemment de la base et l'impossibilité d'accédé au fichiers de la base.

le reboot du system avec un reboot ou shutdown n'est même plus possible.

le reset hardware ou avec les magic command de centos est obligatoire.

j'ai slony qui tourne sur 20 schemas mais le crash n’apparaît pas sur les schemas répliqués.

j'ai réussi a capté un load average énorme juste avant le crash.

je suis d'ailleurs en postgresql 9.3.4


si vous avez des idées je suis preneur.

I only need it to flow 600cc of fuel, 4k rpm and have it cleaned and resealed and timed to 18* who do I need to send it to??? I'm not dead set on either of those people I've just heard good things about Seth @dpe and have a friend with a 13mm pump from Scheid that gets top 3 in every 2.6 pull he goes to...

HTT Cummins Altered Drag Car

After two years of not racing the car and no immediate plans of finding a new driver for the next year's season HTT is looking at selling the 12v Cummins Altered that was originally built by Ryan Tucker. Car will be sold complete with spare parts and trailer.



Car has had some recent changes to the power train that should net great results at the track. Some of the SFI equipment will need to be re-certified. But other than that is virtually track and race ready.



Motor has only a couple passes on it. Full Hamilton cylinder head and cam. Fire Ring kit. Brand new DDP injectors. 13mm pump. Scheid adjustable pump timing kit. Currently has HTT 71/73/13SS turbo and stainless manifold but would be willing to change upon new owners request. Current setup should be around 750-800hp.

Hey fellas, I am new to the forum. Not really new to the Diesel world, but new to Comp Diesel.

I have a 2011 Denali Duramax. I have always been a Cummins guy and most of my tinkering there. Now looking to tinker with this Durmax.

I am curious about EFI tuning for the LML. I currently have a H&S Tuner with a delete on it. She runs good, but slippy trans a couple times so have to back off. Prolly have to upgrade Tranny a little bit soon.

Anyways I look forward to getting educated on the LML and becoming proficient in tweeking with It.

Thanks and hope to make some friends along the way.




Glow plug dash light, and cel

My truck is a 2005 former 6L, Lariat.



Has anyone ever done anything with the in-dash glow plug indicator? I have a 12 valve in the truck now, and am wiring in the grid heaters. Is there a way to tap into that light so it'll quit coming on automatically when I turn the key, and have it illuminate only when I trigger my grid heater push button switch?



Also, my engine light is on, as expected with a 12 valve swap. How can I get that to go off and never come back? I know It's not as easy as taking the bulb out. Is it at all do-able? Tired of looking at it. Thanks!!

Running a 2011 loaded Laramie 3500 4x4 (taken off the showroom floor in 2011), before the plastic was off the seats I had a driveway of removed parts. DPF delete, turbo back exhaust, EGR complete delete, conical air box, levelling kit, 33" Nitto rubber to fit stock geometry, tuned to 525 hp 1000+ ft lbs., just barely broke in at 35k in the 3 yrs. I've owned it.

'93 CTD With GD 60mm Turbo Upgrade

So I have a '93 Club cab W350 dually. When I bought the truck from the original owner he said that a local shop turned the fuel pump up back in the 90's and has been driving it ever since. Well when I bought the truck it smoked... A lot... I enjoyed it, at first. I turned the fuel down and with in a couple weeks, the stock H1C went out the compressor wheel went about 1/8 into the compressor housing. So then I ordered a new turbo from Gillette Diesel with 14cm2 exhaust housing with 60mm compressor. I turned the fuel back up to kinda experiment with power, drove it that way for 3 months then, I got tired of the smoke and fuel mileage so I turned the fuel back down and within 2 weeks again the turbo did the exact same thing. Could it be that my truck is cursed and is trying to tell me that it doesn't like being slow? My concern is that I have a new Gillette turbo on the way this one with 16cm2 exhaust housing. I dont want it to go out also. Any ideas?

triples secondary

Alright im looking to go triples as soon as my dd is done. I have a 94 2wd and wanting to make a fun street drag truck. Right now i have two he351 over a older schwitzer 66mm secondary, the turbine is 79/90 and a/r is unknown but looks tight. Woundering if i should just go with a s475 box turbo and save the hassle (roughly same size turbine if not more efficient)? I picked up the schwitzer 66mm for 60$ and it has a bigger shaft in diameter than a s474 that i have laying around that came off a 3406 or c15. for what its worth seems like it could take some abuse, looking for 1000 horse +. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated thanks

Mon ordi portable est en Windows 7 (32 bits). Je n'arrive pas à installer PostGis à partir de PostgreSQL.

Je ne comprends pas pourquoi à ma formation on n'a eu aucun souci à installer PostGis et à créer une extension PostGis pour créer de nouveaux schémas et des tables spatialisées et chez moi, ça ne fonctionne pas.


Plus précisément, après avoir téléchargé postgis_2_1_pg93.exe, voici le message d'erreur quand je tape "create extension postgis" :

Ive seen that if you move the batterys from factory location you must run a master electrical shutoff, does it matter where you mount the shut off? I cant find anything other then you have to run one

7/16 Push rod clearancing???

So this has been bothering me from a conversation I had last week.



I had requested a set of 7/16 push rods for my latest build (05 CR ). I was under the impression it was also what I paid for when I ordered several parts. However a lot more back ground to this story but not really the point.



I received a set of 3/8 .083 wall push rods. When I asked about the requested 7/16 rods I was told "1st you'll need to pull your cylinder head and clearance for the 7/16 pushrods or they will rub on the pushrod holes causing wear, heat, harmonics and possibly damage to the rod."



Now I have had 7/16 rods in 4 other builds and never once had a clearance issue. Have I just been lucky on those other occasions?



I had even offered to buy another set of 7/16 rods with the intent of making two sets of heavier duty rods using the 3/8 for intake only. The response I got was "Why would you use 7/16 for exhaust and 3/8 for intake?

Factory plastic a pillar 06 dodge

High Idle Switch ?'s

I'm looking into getting one of these. Is there a temperature below which you wouldn't want to use the MPG setting? It gets pretty cold around here (-10*). Does using this setting stop the grid heater from cycling? Any other input would be appreciated.

2000 Excursion 12v G56

Hi,

I have been working on this one for a long time, on and off. I bought it in Hillsboro Ohio back in 2008 /2009 I drove it about 2 weeks then decided to tear it apart and redo alot of stuff that i didn't like from the previous owners build.

The Truck was built by Shawn Dance. It was built with a 12v school bus engine, NV4500 redone by Woodruff. It had a Mitchell Dual Disk pulling clutch. Woodruff oringed head, 160 pump , full cut dv, 370's, a strange Hx50 with a modded 6cm turbine built by a turbo shop out there, I think J-Mez turbo? The Truck has 4.10's dana 50 and 10.5 rear had a big 8 " BDS lift and 37" Toyo tires on 22" rims.

I got the truck and tore it apart took the lift ,and 22" rims out and sold them. I sold the nv4500 and mitchell clutch, and swapped in a '07 AE G56, with Southbend FE. Thinking back I should have kept the nv4500, oh well *bdh*. I found some of screwy work, like the alternator wiring had 2 wire nuts and lots of electrical tape holding together etc.

Back then I was on The TDR alot and had thread about it there.

I stopped working on to pay off some debt, and in the mean time bought a '05 6.0 Excursion. I also just did a full engine rebuild on that truck last year. I documented it on Powerstroke.org.

Did alot of work custom deleted and welded up intake, BPD remote oil cooler , full home built Regulated return with A100 and cummins remote fuel and water separator, bare block rebuild, redone block, heads, , new warren 155/30 injectors etc etc...

Well the '05 has been in my friends Body shop since this past feb. needed minor lower door rust fixed and had new rear quarter installed and rebuild rear fender lips etc.. .. every time i stop by he isn't done and has a new date. Tenitively he says it will be finished by Halloween. I think that means Thanksgiving or Christmas lol.

So I decided to bring back the 2000 12v excursion. Plans are to get it going asap, and mount a plow on it. and have a useable daily driver, I can bring the 4 kids , wife and dog in and still tow and plow with. I have just got back on it this month. I'll post up some older photos and go from there.

For anyone wondering how a blower works, or helps spool a turbo on exhaust pressure, a picture is worth...well, I've never seen anything like this....
