2000 Ford Excursion common rail cummins swap 48RE

It's time to let my cummins Excursion go...

The entire build was documented on another site back in the Fall of 2007 before I was aware of CompD . Not sure if it's ok or not, but here is a link to the build:

Engine was purchased brand new (early common rail 305 hp rating), transmission was also purchased brand new (48re early model).

Smarty TNT

Cold Air intake (AFE washable filter)

4" exhaust with resonator and muffler (no drone in cab)

ATS standalone valvebody and controller

Diprocol gauges

Floor-it Stage I CP3

Built trans

We drove it for a number of years and my wife really didn't like the extremely low stall goerend convertor in it, you really had to hold the brake to keep from moving with it in gear, so I swapped out the goerend triple disk and billet input for a stock input and a not so low stall single disk convertor. The SPS62 was just a touch slow to spool, so we swapped back to a stock manifold and HE341 turbo. That is how it is setup today.

The only problem I had with it was about 18 months ago, the trans started to creep forward when in neutral (still drove fine and shifted fine, fluid is fine). Working with a Goerend trans builder we pulled the trans to investigate and narrowed it down to the ATS standalone valvebody. I just put a new standalone valvebody in it which required a new double deep pan and got it back together. No more creep in neutral, so that should be addressed now.

Has gauges installed above the rearview mirror (EGT, boost, Trans temp, fuel pressure) and a rail pressure gauge on dash. Speedo used to work and seems to be intermittent now. All other ford gauges work fine. About a year or so ago I put all new calipers and rotors on the truck. It has F250 springs and antiwrap rear axle bars, bigger sway bars front and rear. It will clear 35" tires just fine (currently has 33" tires). A/C blows cold, heater works great, grid heaters work fine (added lights to dash to show when they are on). all windows and door locks work. I swapped it over to the later model Ford headlights which made a huge improvement at night. Batteries are only 1 yr old. Clearcoat is peeling on hood and the top of the rig, it's not noticeable unless you are up close. Smarty is included with the truck. I'm sure I'm forgetting something, got any questions just ask. The engine was purchased brand new and has less than 50k miles on it. No rust on the body anywhere. Has OBD plugs for talking with either the cummins or the ford computers. Check engine light wire was cut to turn it off on the dash, for some reason the Ford doesn't like it when you drive down the road without the engine running...
