With the oil manufacturers taking zinc out of the oil to meet the strict emissions of today. What is a good oil additive to add ZDDP to an over the shelf oil. If I remember right STP oil treatment was a popular one.
The truck normally runs Valvoline Premium Blue 15w40,but have recently thought about running Brad Penn 15w40. I remember Joe Farmer saying it takes longer for the Brad Penn oil to become diluted from a heavily fueled motor. It is not a competition vehicle but does see a little track time now and then and maybe 3k-4k miles a year.
