The Silver Bullet's build rebuild

dimanche 21 décembre 2014

Alright so if any of you followed my turbo tuning thread you understand I haven't been very happy with this truck. After a few changes and adjustments I couldn't get it very drive able. This is mostly do to the Pistons being low compression do to .190 flys and bowls in larged .250. Also this truck started burning oil pretty good. So time for a short block.

Yesterday I went and picked up the start to my build

This is the light wieght short block from Ryan Lehanan. Crank has been lightened 14 lbs along with pins and everything is balanced of course.

It is machined for orings. Order the wire and full cummins gasket set tonight.

Pistons have coated skirts and marine bowls.

Only things I haven't got or decided on is what piston rings to use and what cam I want to run. Cam in my current engine is a 192/215 .305 with a 112 lsa. Wanting to go to little less duration and tighter lsa.

That's all I got right now just working on cleaning up the light surface rust from sitting.
